We know how to have a rockin Friday night.

I have zero news to report in the workout department since Tuesday. I am not proud of that and have no excuses. Well, except the one I am about to give: the first couple weeks of school and + trying to sort through moving has been 1-800-tiring. I am going to hit the treadmill this morning for a few miles though.

What did you do with your Friday night? I spent mine hunting in the cold and dark for a hat and glove that Frank dropped during work. Ok, so I didn't actually get out of the car (except at the gas station to get hot cocoa). Yes, Lucy goes everywhere with us. She really prefers it, even when it’s -3.

It was a completely successful operation, see? That is snow on his hat, not dandruff.

We are really trying to have as much fun together as possible before Frank moves, can you tell? You can expect more of the same wild excursions from us crazy kids for the next 2 weeks ;)

Today will be full of homework, yoga and/or pilates, and treadmilling it up while reading about my soon-to-be-home-again and my new Runner’s World (big words INJURY PREVENTION on the cover...hopefully next month it says BUILDING YOUR OWN TIME MACHINE). I do not know why the below picture will not get bigger?

How was your Friday night?

Does your dog like to go for car rides? Or do you think it's weird when people do that?

  2. I always encourage my boyfriend to take his dog with us on trips to the store, or anywhere else that's going to be a short trip. She sits in the back though..no lap sitting. She is a decent sized dog, so that wouldn't work for me haha. What a random but fun adventure. I watched a movie last night and went TO BED! WHOOHOO!

  3. My Friday night consisted of me going to be early and watching a documentary. I try to take my puppy out on car rides, and currently she dislikes them, especially if she is the back.

    1. Documentary watching is definitely a regular Friday night activity around our house too!

  4. My husband came home early-ish, and we sat around and gabbed. Sometimes, a whole week goes by without us getting to really, really just talk because of his crazy work schedule. Also, I netflixed The Giant Mechanical Man. Kind of cute if you get bored after your husband leaves town.

    1. Why does work get in the way of life like that? Not cool, work.

  5. My Friday night was about the same. I actually had to drive about 45 minutes south but then it turned into a white out making the drive about an 90 minutes...oh well. Sorry to hear about the workouts, but I'm such a strong contender that work/school should always come before working out. Maybe that is why I enjoy reading your blog so much...because you are realistic.

  8. Lucy is adorable! I'm sure my dog (bichon/cocker spaniel) Keebler would be great pals if they met. And, yes, they don't seem to be very bothered by cold weather.
