The countdowns are on.

Have. Mercy. Getting back in the swing of things with classes and interning this week was not easy. Ok, so it hasn't exactly been hard by any stretch of the word, but certainly unpleasant.

Things like coffee and a jar of almonds/raisins can really get you through a class though. Almonds for the joint health, of course.

I am going to need a lot of help in the joint health department because I forgot just how murderous sitting alllll day looooong is on the body. 14 more weeks of graduate school. 14 more weeks of graduate school. Not counting spring break, which is exactly 7 weeks away. Last spring break: Venice beach with my uncle (don't ask me about that haircut).

Another countdown that's on: 21 weeks til Grandma's Marathon. I have to work on a plan so I don't "forget" to run and collapse on the couch after school/work/interning instead. I don't know that I would advise anyone to sign up for a marathon when they can't walk without a limp, no matter how far away the marathon seems. PS, I also sadly rescind the offer to stay at my house and run the marathon with me because we are getting kicked out of our house in 18 weeks so they can put up a parking lot. It's going to be an interesting spring.

There is good news about our apartment. This isn't happening anymore:

Because the washer is fixed. Oh, and the heat is going strong.

Is there anything you're counting down to right now?

When's your next race? What is it?

  1. You will get right before that, Jade! My knee has been improving everyday, so just take it slow, do what you can for your joints, and take plenty of rest days!

  5. Feel better Girl!I am sorry about you being evicted from your apartment. It's horrible! Like you they are a few things in our apartment aren't working but one of my friends fixed something for us.

Congrats on graduating again!! Though I am taking a year off from school, I am actually nervous/excited to go back for my master. I am not sure yet what I want to do as I have so many passions lol.

Currently I don't have any countdown for except perhaps going to concerts in April.

    1. It's really good to take a year off to help decide what you want to focus on because school is expensive!!
