1.) To show that my workout yesterday was 4 miles! In case you aren't keeping track (and I do not expect that you are), this is a post-injury first and I am very happy!
2.) To invite you over to paint my nails and read magazines with me and talk about stuff with me. Clearly I need all of those things. :)
I am on my way now!
Another thing I am on my way to is my 3rd wedding anniversary (did you like that transition?). Our anniversary is actually on Wednesday this week, but I thought I would pay tribute to my marriage today because Wednesday is also my birthday (!!) and I don't want my birthday to overshadow our anniversary. DEFINITELY not the other way around. ;)
So, we got married outside in the middle of winter. In northern Michigan. On a lake. You are welcome, wonderful people who attended. I am sure everyone was really happy and comfortable with our locale decision. (Pictures taken by my FIL. I do not have his permission to reprint these, but I am sure he doesn't want to sue his son.)
I just saw a comment on a facebook picture of our wedding that says, "they must be crazy in love to get married like that." Guilty :)
The best part for me about our wedding was that we got married EXACTLY when we wanted to. Well, 10 days after that because it just so happens that you have to wait for a marriage certificate, find the most awesome minister in the world to perform your ceremony, and give your parents 1.5 weeks notice so they don't disown you.
Hopefully in 30 more years, I will have some marriage advice to share with the world, but for now I will leave you with something better: a reading by Kahlil Gibran from that cold January wedding day!
Have a great Monday!
